Il PNRA (Programma Nazionale di Ricerche in Antartide) ha la necessità di avvalersi della collaborazione di alcune figure SCIENTIFICHE per portare avanti le attività di ricerca presso la Stazione Concordia nel periodo dell’inverno australe da novembre 2024 a novembre 2025. La campagna di ricerca invernale che viene svolta presso la stazione di Concordia prende il nome di Winter over.

L’Unità Tecnica Antartide (UTA) https://www.italiantartide.it/enea-unita-tecnica-antartide dell’ENEA procede annualmente alla composizione ed alla formazione del gruppo tecnico-logistico di supporto alle attività scientifiche. A tal fine, ENEA–UTA ha la necessità di avvalersi della collaborazione di alcune figure professionali per le attività di cosiddetto “winterover” che si svolgeranno presso la Stazione Concordia nel periodo novembre 2024/novembre 2025.

The 46 Antarctic Treaty Consultative Meeting (ATCM) and the 26 Committee for Environmental Protection (CEP) Meeting will be hosted at Kochi, India from May 20th to 30th, 2024. The National Centre for Polar and Ocean Research (NCPOR), an autonomous research institute under the Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES), Government of India is pleased to host the meeting. With an expected attendance of over 350 delegates from 60+ countries, the ATCM will bring together participants from around the world to engage in crucial discussions on Antarctic research and governance.  

La nave da ricerca italiana Laura Bassi ha concluso la missione di ricerca che l’ha portata a navigare per due mesi in Antartide a supporto delle attività di ricerca sulle dinamiche fisiche e biogeochimiche di specifiche aree del continente.

POLARIN, Polar Research Infrastructure Network, the European project coordinated by the Alfred Wegener Institute and involving numerous international partners with the aim of creating a network for the joint use of infrastructures for polar research at European level, has officially begun.

The Symposium will take place in person at the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco and will also be available via streaming. This year the polar symposium will bring together distinguished scientists, representatives of non-governmental organizations, holders of indigenous knowledge, and policymakers to discuss the challenges facing polar regions and their broad implications on the global system.

Prende il via presso la base italo-francese Concordia la 20a campagna invernale del PNRA, mentre a Baia Terra Nova chiude la stazione Mario Zucchelli, dove si è svolta la 39a campagna estiva che proseguirà fino a inizio marzo sulla rompighiaccio Laura Bassi. I dati raccolti nel corso della campagna estiva saranno elaborati e analizzati nei laboratori di diversi enti di ricerca e università italiane.

The 2nd European Polar Science Week is an important milestone in the cooperation between the European Commission and the European Space Agency.
