The study mainly concerned: 1. geological mapping and sampling of volcanic rocks of the Mount Melbourne Province between Parasite cone - Mount Overlord - Northern Foothills; 2. geological mapping and sampling of the Ferrar Dolerite; 3. sampling of fluids from Mount Melbourne volcanic system for geochemical research; 4. sampling of oriented volcanic rocks for geomagnetic studies.
